Over 1,400 healthcare workers across MultiCare Valley Hospital and Deaconess Hospital in Spokane are bargaining new union contracts to help ensure our communities get the care they deserve.

  
While MultiCare – a Tacoma-based healthcare system that paid $11.3 million to their top 7 executives in 2022 – claims that “your communities are our communities,” they’ve delayed reaching a fair agreement with our union bargaining team. Instead, they are prioritizing expansion and CEO pay while our existing facilities face short staffing, high staff turnover, and dangerous mis-management – currently, MultiCare is under federal investigation for alleged fraudulent billing and patient endangerment.

 
Without a fair contract in place that would help us recruit and retain experienced caregivers, quality care is at risk. That’s why workers are bringing our fight to the community and asking our friends, family members, and neighbors to use their voice to call on MultiCare to settle a fair contract that pays us fairly, staffs us safely, and allows us to provide quality care for our patients.
